Kids Crochet Class Policies
At The Artisan Academy, we know that life can be complicated.
That’s why we’ve designed our cancellation policy to give you as much flexibility as possible while still promoting consistency.
Reschedule:
If your child has an upcoming event that conflicts with their lesson night, we ask that you give us 48 hours notice and we will happily reschedule them to the alternate group that week.
Sickness:
Please do not bring your child to class if they are sick. They are welcome to attend the alternate group lesson that week or another week within the same month.
***Please note that Make-Up Lessons are Limited to 1 per month***
Cancellation:
If you decide to discontinue lessons, just let us know. We’ll be sad to see you go, but will not continue to charge you as long as you give us 5 days notice before the end of the month. Your child is welcome to attend all the classes you have already paid for but we do not provide refunds if they choose not to.
Instructor Reschedule:
Your teacher may occasionally need to reschedule a lesson due to illness or a professional engagement. We will notify you as soon as possible of foreseeable absences. Except in the case of emergencies, teachers are expected to reschedule lessons at least 48 hours in advance. Your child will receive a make-up lesson, additional time added to the other lessons, or discount in this case.
Scents:
We would appreciate it if students could limit the use of all scented products as much as possible before coming to class.
Food / Drink:
Please only send your child to class with water and no additional food or drink. Our Lessons are located in a shared space that must be kept tidy.
Supplies:
Supplies are included in the cost of the lessons.
This includes communal supplies such as different size crochet hooks, scissors, needles and other tools. This also includes one-time use supplies such as yarn, safety eyes, stuffing, etc.
We do not assign homework, so your child is always welcome to leave their projects at the studio and only work on them during lessons. However, students may also bring their projects home if they choose.
If your child takes supplies home with them, and consistently forgets to return them, or, if they are finishing an entire project each week, an extra materials fee may apply.
